This week’s show is all about that age-old struggle that keeps many photographers up at night. How can we turn our passion of photography into a successful business? How do we divide our time to ensure that we’re bringing home the bacon and not just on shoots 7 days a week?
We will talk through some common issues photographers face and discuss ways how we can best manage all of this to achieve the best outcome in all areas.
Firstly, joining me this week is the fabulous Henry Chen of Henry Chen Photography, based in Los Angeles, USA. Henry is a fantastic storyteller when it comes to his wedding photography and runs a very successful studio over in Long Beach.
Then we have a really cool emerging photographer, Liesl Cheney, who runs Liesl Cheney Photography in Surrey, UK. Liesl has already made a fantastic start to her wedding photography business and has also contributed to the fantastic The Photography Parlour website, here in the UK.
We’d also absolutely love to hear your views, comments and feedback on this show, so please leave your comments in the space below.

Henry made me giggle …first the Handyman and then his charger. Very interesting video nice to see this out there.
Ross, thanks so much for organising this and thanks Henry for participating! It was great to be able to have such a lengthy discussion around business. You guys both rock!
[...] 2011 saw me interviewing some photographers I really admire for The Photography Parlour such as Mike Colon, Zach and Jody and Monica Dart and it was great to be on the other side of the questions when I was interviewed alongside Henry Chen for Photo Night Live. [...]
